Cultivating Clarity: Creating Professional C.H.I.

CULTIVATING C.H.I. was born out of a desire to create flow and ease throughout the main areas of our lives.  We often become stuck when dealing with issues connected with our PHYSICAL bodies, our SPIRITUAL beings, our relationships, and our PROFESSIONAL lives.  Our goal is to develop CLARITY in our thoughts, words, and actions.  To prioritize what is important to us and to bring these priorities into CONGRUENCY and HARMONY aligned with our INTEGRITY.

Why is this important?

We become conflicted when we act out of alignment with what we know to be true.  This conflict shows up in overeating, cravings, abuse of caffeine, food, drugs,  alcohol,  insomnia, anxiety, depression, and other PHYSICAL, SPIRITUAL, and emotional consequences.

How do we develop CLARITY?
We develop CLARITY by assessing the imbalances we may be feeling in our body, our spirit, our relationships, or our PROFESSION and we recognize the old limiting beliefs that may be holding us back.  Once we begin to challenge these critical voices we are ready to take the 7 Steps to Gain CLARITY and Create C.H.I. in Our Lives.

What is the goal of gaining CLARITY?
Our goal is to bring our thoughts, words, and actions into CONGRUENCY, HARMONY, and INTEGRITY.

What is CONGRUENCY?
CONGRUENCY is being in a state of agreement.  Our actions support what we want to achieve.

What is HARMONY?
HARMONY is a state of peace, cooperation, tranquility, and unity.  We decide what is important to us and we allocate our time, effort, and energy based on these priorities.

What is INTEGRITY?
INTEGRITY is when our actions are consistent with our knowledge of right and wrong.

What is PROFESSIONAL C.H.I.?
It is rare for a person to spend their entire PROFESSIONAL life in one occupation or with one company.  People often try many different jobs before finding their special niche.  Unfortunately some spend years in unfulfilling positions or moving from job to job because nothing seems to fit.  Sometimes our priorities change and we need to shift  to align our PROFESSION with those changes in our values.

PROFESSIONAL C.H.I. is created by choosing a career that is CONGRUENT or in agreement with our life goals, HARMONIOUS with our priorities, and in line with our INTEGRITY or values.

Why is PROFESSIONAL C.H.I. important?
We spend an average of 8.9 hours working per day.  When we are doing a job that is unfulfilling, incongruent with our goals, out of alignment with our values, or draining our peace and energy we will find ourselves subject to the same problems that occur when we are out of PHYSICAL or SPIRITUAL C.H.I.
What are the consequences of living out of PROFESSIONAL C.H.I.?
We may experience…
*depression
*insomnia
*overeating
*cravings
*abuse of caffeine, food, drugs, or alcohol
*hormonal imbalances
*illness
If we are not satisfied with our work life,  we can fall into a pattern of compare and despair.

We hold up what we are doing against the work or accomplishments of someone else and feel “less than”.
When we feel  “less  than”  we lose our energy.  Remember, where our attention goes our energy flows.  If we dwell in feelings of failure, we will fail.

What can we do if we are living out of PROFESSIONAL C.H.I.?
We either stay in our current status but make changes or we pursue our dream job.
Sometimes it isn’t feasible to make a career change at the current moment.  If you need to stay in a job that is not your ideal,  make small incremental shifts to more fully align with your C.H.I.
Such as:
*Don’t speak negatively about your work.
*Get plenty of sleep.
*Exercise
*Breathe
*Meditate
*Journal
*Express gratitude.

How do we pursue our dream job?
*Set your priorities.
*Diligently pray.
*Set your intentions.
*Get credentials.
*Explore what you enjoy.

How do you know if it’s time for a PROFESSIONAL change?
Are you experiencing any of the following?
*Frequent physical illness.
*Anxiety.
*Depression.
*Boredom.
*Dread.
*Low energy.
*Out of alignment with values.
*Negativity.
*Gossiping.
*Feel devalued.
*Lack of incentive.

How do we know that we are where we should be  at this moment in time?
We….
*don’t expect perfection.
*feel energized.
*feel excited.
*feel challenged.
*feel creative.
*receive incentives.
*feel appreciated.

Strategy:  To align our thoughts, words, and actions to create PROFESSIONAL C.H.I.
Thought:  I dread going to work every day.
Feeling:   I feel dread going to work every day.  I am going to get curious and explore ways to relax and find peace and fulfillment in my work.
Behavior:  I dread going to work every day because I am not excited or challenged by my work.  I will take small steps to improve my attitude by managing my expectations.  I will speak positively about my work to myself and to others.  I will not participate in office gossip.  I will ask for and accept challenges.  I will explore ways to take on more fulfilling responsibilities.
What are the consequences of living outside of our PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY?
When we don’t make shifts in how we perceive our current PROFESSION or make a change to pursue our dream job,  we often experience deep regret.  This regret can show up as anger, depression, anxiety, sadness, and overwhelm.

What are the rewards of living within our PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY?
The rewards of living within our INTEGRITY include fulfillment, joy, peace, and expansive energy.

Meet Perfectly Imperfect Me

I humbly stand before you in all my imperfection…writing, speaking, sharing, and coaching.  Not trying to have all the answers.  Not thinking that I am a perfect example. Some of my most memorable instructors included Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Geneen Roth, and Marilena Minucci.  Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

In addition, I am a certified teacher, certified Master Gardener, experienced weight loss consultant, dedicated yogi, and fitness buff.
